How to play guessfilm
guessfilm is a free daily movie guessing game. Every day you get five hidden films. For each one you pick a moment, see that single frame, and make one guess.
The daily game
- 01
Pick a moment
Move along the timeline or type a time, like 0:16:50. You can see how long the film is, so aim for the start, the middle or the end.
- 02
See that frame
You get exactly what was on screen at that second. One frame, nothing more.
- 03
Name the film
Type the title. You get one guess. A right answer earns 1 point.
- 5films a day, picked at random, so friends usually get different ones
- 1chance per film. No second guess, no replay until tomorrow
- 00:00UTC: new films every day. The home screen counts down
Duel
A live match against one other player. You both get the same film for five rounds. Each round you have 10 seconds to pick a moment and 10 seconds to name the film. Each right answer is 1 point. More points wins; on a tie, the faster right answers win.
Invite a friend with a link, or wait for an opponent. Ranked duels change your rating and count on the duel leaderboard.
Open the duel lobbyTips for picking a moment
- The middle of a film often holds its biggest scenes.
- Faces give a lot away. A famous actor can name the film for you.
- Use the length. A three-hour film is more likely an epic than a comedy.
- Opening titles and end credits are cut, so the first and last seconds show the story, not the names.
